Test Your Harry Potter Trivia and Earn Scholarship Money
Ft. Lauderdale, FL (PRWeb) December 8, 2006 -- Do you know all the rules of Quidditch? Dreamed of having tea at the Gryffindor House in Hogwarts? To all the loyal, passionate Harry Potter fans, here is an opportunity to see how much you know about the Harry Potter universe, while competing to earn a college scholarship!
If you can correctly answer what a "hypogriff" is (a magical creature that has the front legs, wings and head of an eagle, and the body, hind legs and tail of a horse) then the Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Movie Scholarship is for you! The scholarship contest is available on the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation (CKSF) Web site from Dec. 17-30, 2006.
The Harry Potter Scholarship is a quiz-based contest open to parents, high school, college and graduate students. There are no essays to write, no financial background checks and no GPA requirements. The only requirement is that you have a computer with internet access, about 20 minutes to spare, and some knowledge of Harry Potter's world.
To take part in the Harry Potter Movie Scholarship, participants need to first register with CKSF at www.cksf.org and create an account. From there, they have access to the Harry Potter Movie Scholarship quizzes, where they will compete with other avid Potter fans from across the country to win a $250 scholarship. Participants will answer two short, multiple choice quizzes on Harry Potter trivia from the second movie - The Chamber of Secrets. The scholarship winner is determined based on time and accuracy in answering the quiz questions.
The Harry Potter Movie Scholarship is just one of the many scholarship contests offered by CKSF. Other popular scholarships include: The FBI Common Knowledge Challenge, National Nursing Scholarship, Black History Month Scholarship and the Chemistry Common Knowledge Challenge.
