Win A Month Of Rehab - Florida Drug Rehab Responds to Economic Conditions
North Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 14, 2008 -- The economy and the high cost of drug rehab programs (http://careflorida.com/drug-rehab.html) are conspiring to deny care to the neediest segments of the population. In response C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery has created a charitable arm, C.A.R.E.S. HELPS, to provide financial support for people seeking a drug rehab program.
"Those of us in the recovery community are pleased and encouraged by the passage of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act," said, Director of C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery Dr. Mitchell Wallick, in reference to the bill passed by Congress earlier this month as part of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008.
"The reality is that the bill does not mandate that group health plans provide any mental health coverage, and it will be a year before the regulations take effect. That leaves a lot of people who need, but cannot afford quality addiction treatment (http://careflorida.com/substance-abuse-treatment.html)." Wallick continued.
Wallick and C.A.R.E.S. Helps have launched "30 Days of C.A.R.E." to award full scholarships for 30 days of in-patient treatment at C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery's fully supervised resort-style retreat. Listeners to Recovery Radio Live, a syndicated radio show about 12 step recovery, are invited to nominate themselves or a loved one who is battling with addiction.
The winner of the scholarship, which is valued at $22,000, will be announced live on the air in December during Recovery Radio Live and twelve partial scholarships will be awarded over the period of a year. C.A.R.E. absorbs all administrative costs for administering the scholarships so that every dollar donated will go directly to treatment. Contest rules and regulations can be found at recoveryradiolive.com.
C.A.R.E. is priced at the moderate end of the spectrum for drug rehab centers (http://careflorida.com/drug-rehab.html) and employs a sliding payment to ease the burden on families with limited funds. Unlike most drug rehab programs, C.A.R.E. offers an all-inclusive flat fee without charges for premium services.
C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery is located in North Palm Beach, Florida. Founded by Dr. Mitch Wallick who holds with Ph.D.'s in Counseling and Addictions, C.A.R.E. employs holistic healing modalities and endeavors to treat the underlying psychological factors that predicate addictions. In addition to drug rehab and alcohol detox programs, C.A.R.E. has had enormous success applying these same principles to those suffering from eating disorders like anorexia, bulimia, or over eating as well as gambling addiction, sex addiction and even Internet addiction. C.A.R.E.S. Helps is a charitable organization launched by C.A.R.E. Addiction Recovery to provide partial funding for treatment, housing, counseling and holistic therapies to deserving individuals and their families in need of a drug rehab program or alcohol detox program (http://careflorida.com/alcohol-detox.html). C.A.R.E.S Helps maintains 501(c) (3) tax exempt organization. Additional information at www.helpanaddict.org
