Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) August 15, 2008 -? AmeriGlide Inc. (www.ameriglide.com) officially announces the introduction of the AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship. The $500 scholarship will be awarded on the January 2, 2009 and is available to full time college students who are enrolled at an accredited university and use a manual or electric wheelchair.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide financial assistance for books, computers, or other school related expenses that quickly add up for college students. The founder and CEO of AmeriGlide, Jeff Sheffer, stated ?I am very excited about our new scholarship program. The AmeriGlide Achiever Scholarship has the chance to really help a deserving student and hopefully further their education.?
The scholarship is open to students who rely on a manual or electric wheelchair, are enrolled full time at an accredited two or four year university, are legal residents of the USA or have a valid student visa, and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. In addition to filling out the online application form, students must respond to an essay question regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act.
